The average annual precipitation in French Southern and Antarctic Lands in 2024 amounted to 863.13 mm, which is 5.13% less than in 2023, when it was  909.76 mm. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. The minimum annual precipitation level was recorded in 1965, with a value of 445.24 mm.
