Employment in industry | Albania

The employment in industry share of the economy of Albania in 2023 amounted to 21.18 % of total employed. In 2022, the value was  21.01%. It has been growing in this country for already 6 years in a row. Over the entire period of ILOSTAT data since 1991, this indicator has increased in 1.95 times. The lowest percent of employees in industry was recorded in 1996, when it was 10.72. The maximum was in 2023, when industry employment share in Albania reached 21.18 % of total employment. Employment is defined as persons of working age who were engaged in any activity to produce goods or provide services for pay or profit, whether at work during the reference period or not at work due to temporary absence from a job, or to working-time arrangement.
