Passenger transportation by air | UAE – yearly data, chart and table

Number of passengers carried by air transport in UAE in 2021 amounted to 28 422 616, which is 8.83% more than in 2020, when it was  26 116 897 passengers. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1974, the volume of air transport passengers has increased in 222.92 times. The lowest number was recorded in 1974, with a value of 127 500 passengers. The maximum passengers by air transport in UAE was in 2018, when it reached 95 758 342 passengers. Air passengers carried include both domestic and international aircraft passengers of air carriers registered in the country.
