Overview
The coal energy consumption in UAE in 2024 reached 0.1100 EJ, which is 7.59% more than in 2023, when consumption volume was 0.1023 EJ. It has been growing in this country for already 2 years in a row. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 2001, the consumption volume of coal primary energy has increased in 142.15 times. The lowest level of consumption in UAE was recorded in 2001, with a value of 0.0008 EJ. The maximum energy consumption from coal was in 2024, when it reached 0.1100 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
