Overview
The gas energy consumption in Austria in 2024 reached 0.2456 EJ, which is 0.863% less than in 2023, when consumption volume was  0.2477 EJ. It has been falling in this country for already 3 years in a row. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1965, the consumption volume of gas primary energy has increased in 3.89 times. The lowest level of consumption in Austria was recorded in 1965, with a value of 0.0631 EJ. The maximum energy consumption from gas was in 2010, when it reached 0.3461 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
