The geothermal and biomass energy consumption in Austria in 2024 reached 0.050686 EJ, which is 1.93% more than in 2023, when consumption volume was  0.049726 EJ. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1985, the consumption volume of geothermal and biomass primary energy has increased in 4.93 times. The lowest level of consumption in Austria was recorded in 1987, with a value of 0.009882 EJ. The maximum level was in 2018, when it reached 0.053933 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
