Passenger transportation by air | Azerbaijan – yearly data, chart and table

Number of passengers carried by air transport in Azerbaijan in 2021 amounted to 1 102 455, which is 102.19% more than in 2020, when it was  545 265 passengers. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1992, the volume of air transport passengers has decreased in 1.32 times. The lowest number was recorded in 2001, with a value of 543 800 passengers. The maximum passengers by air transport in Azerbaijan was in 2019, when it reached 2 585 280 passengers. Air passengers carried include both domestic and international aircraft passengers of air carriers registered in the country.
