Overview

Цена бигмака | Азербайджан
The Bigmac price in Azerbaijan as of the beginning of 2025 amounted to 3.67 USD, which is 5.01% more than in 2024, when it was  3.49 USD. It has been growing in this country for already 4 years in a row. Over the entire period of statistics since 2019, this indicator has increased in 1.58 times. The lowest price of bigmac was recorded in 2021, when it was 2.32 USD in the McDonald`s restaurants of Azerbaijan. The price of a Big Mac is used as an informal indicator of purchasing power parity (PPP) between countries. It shows how much a standardized product costs in different currencies, highlighting differences in the relative value of money and the cost of living. If a Big Mac is significantly more expensive in one country than another after adjusting for exchange rates, it suggests that the local currency may be overvalued or undervalued relative to the U.S. dollar.
Additional infomation: About indicator
The big mac index was invented by The Economist in 1986 as a lighthearted guide to whether currencies are at their “correct” level. It is based on the theory of purchasing-power parity (PPP), the notion that in the long run exchange rates should move towards the rate that would equalise the prices of an identical basket of goods and services (in this case, a burger) in any two countries.
