Passenger transportation by air | Burkina Faso – yearly data, chart and table

Number of passengers carried by air transport in Burkina Faso in 2021 amounted to 112 940, which is 60.82% more than in 2020, when it was  70 228 passengers. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1970, the volume of air transport passengers has increased in 3.75 times. The lowest number was recorded in 1972, with a value of 26 500 passengers. The maximum passengers by air transport in Burkina Faso was in 2018, when it reached 189 545 passengers. Air passengers carried include both domestic and international aircraft passengers of air carriers registered in the country.
