Overview

Уровень рождаемости | ЦАР
The estimated birth-rate in Central African Rep. in mid-2025 amounted to 45.36 per 1,000 people, which is 1.8% less than in mid-2024, when it was  46.19 per 1,000 people. It has been falling in this country for already 2 years in a row. Over the entire period of data from the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs since 1950, this indicator has decreased in 1.00 times. The lowest birth-rate was recorded in 2002, when it was 41.40 per 1,000 people. The highest value was in 1987, when the birth-rate of population in Central African Rep. reached 47.90 per 1,000 people.
The crude birth rate is calculated as the number of births in a given period divided by the average population in that period. For human populations the period is usually one year and, if the population changes in size over the year, the divisor is taken as the population at the mid-year. The data is sourced from the UN report "World Population Prospects 2024", with the values for 2024 and 2025 being projections.
Additional infomation: About indicator
Crude birth rate indicates the number of live births occurring during the year, per 1,000 population estimated at midyear. Subtracting the crude death rate from the crude birth rate provides the rate of natural increase, which is equal to the rate of population change in the absence of migration.
