Additional infomation: About indicator
Data are presented in gross tonnage (GT) and refer to the indicated year. The figures cover seagoing propelled merchant ships of 100 gross tons (GT) and above, excluding inland waterway vessels, fishing vessels, military vessels, yachts, and offshore fixed and mobile platforms and barges (with the exception of FPSOs and drillships). The value 0 is reported for countries without ship recycling observed for a given year. This is in order to distinguish countries where ship recycling is assessed to be zero for some years, from countries without ship recycling at any point of the time series.
