Number of deaths | Canada – yearly data, chart and table

The estimated number of deaths in Canada in 2024 amounted to 321 790 people, which is 3.2% more than in 2023, when it was  311 824 people. This is the first year of growth after a decline. Over the entire period of data from the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs since 1950, this indicator has increased in 2.61 times. The lowest number of deaths was recorded in 1950, when it was 123 125 people. The highest value was in 2022, when the number of deaths in Canada reached 337 724 people.
