Overview
The proved oil reserves of Canada in 2021 reached 170 300 million barrels, which is 0.258% more than in 2020, when it was 169 862 MMbbl. It has been growing in this country for already 2 years in a row. According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) data and BP Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1980, the proved reserves of oil has increased in 25.04 times. The minimum of Canada was recorded in 2001, with a value of 4 706 million barrels. The maximum proved oil reserves was in 2003, when it reached 180 021 MMbbl.
