Crude steel production of Canada in 2024 amounted to 12 200 000 tons, which is 0.408% less than in 2023, when it was  12 250 000 tons. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. According to the World Steel Association data, since 1970, the volume of steel production has increased in 1.09 times. The minimum production of crude steel was recorded in 2009, with a value of 9 286 000 tons. The maximum in Canada was in 2000, when it reached 16 496 339 tons.
