Passenger transportation by air | Chile – yearly data, chart and table

Number of passengers carried by air transport in Chile in 2021 amounted to 10 302 876, which is 28.47% more than in 2020, when it was  8 019 753 passengers. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1970, the volume of air transport passengers has increased in 17.93 times. The lowest number was recorded in 1976, with a value of 489 900 passengers. The maximum passengers by air transport in Chile was in 2019, when it reached 21 197 759 passengers. Air passengers carried include both domestic and international aircraft passengers of air carriers registered in the country.
