Overview
Total fruit exports of China in 2023 amounted to 5 181 574 tonnes, which is 8.34% more than in 2022, when it was 4 782 666 tonnes. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the FAOSTAT data, since 1961, the volume of annual fruit exports has increased in 43.81 times. The minimum trade exports of fruits recorded in 1961, with a value of 118 268 tonnes. The maximum of China was in 2020, when it reached 5 348 966 metric tons.

Data sources and collection In general, figures have been supplied by governments through magnetic tapes, national publications and FAO questionnaires. In particular, for the European Union member countries, with the exception of Spain, data obtained from EUROSTAT have been used. In addition, maximum use has been made of the magnetic tapes provided by the United Nations Statistics Division.
To make the coverage of this data collection as complete as possible, official trade data have sometimes been supplemented with data from unofficial sources. Use has also been made of trade information supplied by other national or international agencies or organizations.
