Passenger transportation by air | Algeria – yearly data, chart and table

Number of passengers carried by air transport in Algeria in 2021 amounted to 1 949 936, which is 33.55% more than in 2020, when it was  1 460 077 passengers. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1970, the volume of air transport passengers has increased in 3.46 times. The lowest number was recorded in 1970, with a value of 563 200 passengers. The maximum passengers by air transport in Algeria was in 2019, when it reached 6 752 002 passengers. Air passengers carried include both domestic and international aircraft passengers of air carriers registered in the country.
