Number of inbound tourism arrivals | Ecuador

The inbound tourism arrivals to Ecuador in 2022 amounted to 1 265 000, which is 89.09% more than in 2021, when it was  669 000 arrivals. It has been growing in this country for already 2 years in a row. Over the entire period of data from the UNWTO since 1995, this indicator has increased in 2.88 times. The lowest annual international tourist flow was recorded in 1995, when it was 440 000 arrivals. The highest value was in 2018, when the inbound tourism arrivals to Ecuador reached 2 535 000.
These values come from a new data collection process using a single questionnaire. Since the new processing system is still being phased in, some data points may not completely reflect the final standards yet.
