Overview
Arable land area of Egypt in 2023 amounted to 3 103 000 ha, which is exactly the same as in 2022, when it was also 3 103 000 ha. . According to the FAOSTAT data, since 1961, the area of arable land has increased in 1.24 times. The minimum arable land area recorded in 1983, with a value of 2 264 740 ha. The maximum of Egypt was in 2020, when it reached 3 365 000 ha. Arable land includes land defined by the FAO as land under temporary crops (double-cropped areas are counted once), temporary meadows for mowing or for pasture, land under market or kitchen gardens, and land temporarily fallow.
