The coal energy consumption in Egypt in 2024 reached 0.0688 EJ, which is 40.3% more than in 2023, when consumption volume was  0.0491 EJ. It has been growing in this country for already 2 years in a row. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1965, the consumption volume of coal primary energy has increased in 4.08 times. The lowest level of consumption in Egypt was recorded in 1966, with a value of 0.0115 EJ. The maximum energy consumption from coal was in 2018, when it reached 0.0914 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
