Air transport registered carrier departures | Fiji – yearly data, chart and table

Number of civil aircraft departures in Fiji in 2021 amounted to 5 791, which is 44.58% less than in 2020, when it was  10 450. It has been falling in this country for already 2 years in a row. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1973, this indicator has decreased in 2.68 times. The lowest number of air transport departures was recorded in 2021, with a value of 5 791. The maximum in Fiji was in 1998, when it reached 87 900 departures.
The air transport data represent the total (international and domestic) scheduled traffic carried by the air carriers registered in a country. For statistical uses, departures are equal to the number of landings made or flight stages flown. A flight stage is the operation of an aircraft from take-off to its next landing. A flight stage is classified as either international or domestic. International flight stage is one or both terminals in the territory of a State, other than the State in which the air carrier has its principal place of business.
