The coal energy consumption in France in 2024 reached 0.1777 EJ, which is 0.317% more than in 2023, when consumption volume was  0.1772 EJ. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1965, the consumption volume of coal primary energy has decreased in 10.51 times. The lowest level of consumption in France was recorded in 2023, with a value of 0.1772 EJ. The maximum energy consumption from coal was in 1965, when it reached 1.8671 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
