Overview
The proved natural gas reserves of Equatorial Guinea in 2021 reached 139 billion m³, which is 2.11% less than in 2020, when it was 142 billion cubic metres. It has been falling in this country for already 2 years in a row. According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) data and BP Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1987, the proved reserves of natural gas has increased in 5.79 times. The minimum of Equatorial Guinea was recorded in 1992, with a value of 24 billion cubic metres. The maximum proved gas reserves was in 2019, when it reached 145 billion m³.
