Overview
The proved oil reserves of Indonesia in 2021 reached 2 480 million barrels, which is 21.27% less than in 2020, when it was 3 150 MMbbl. It has been falling in this country for already 6 years in a row. According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) data and BP Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1980, the proved reserves of oil has decreased in 3.87 times. The minimum of Indonesia was recorded in 2021, with a value of 2 480 million barrels. The maximum proved oil reserves was in 1991, when it reached 11 050 MMbbl.
