Overview
Number of reported tuberculosis cases in India in 2023 amounted to 2 800 000, which is 1.41% less than in 2022, when it was 2 840 000. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. Since 2000, for the whole period of WHO statistics, the annual TB case count in India has decreased in 1.21 times. The highest rate was in 2005, when it reached 3 590 000 new cases. The minimum of India was recorded in 2020, with a value of 2 740 000.
