The crude oil production in India in 2024 reached 834 682 barrels per day, which is 1.55% more than in 2023, when production volume was  821 931 b/d. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), since 1965, the annual production volume of oil (crude oil, NGPL, and other liquids) has increased in 13.39 times. The minimum of India was recorded in 1965, with a value of 62 344 barrels daily. The maximum crude oil poduction was in 2011, when it reached 922 992 b/d.

Petroleum supply includes the production of crude oil (including lease condensate), natural gas plant liquids, and other liquids, and it also includes refinery processing gain for volume (TBPD) only. Other Liquids includes biodiesel, ethanol, liquids produced from coal, gas, and oil shale, Orimulsion, blending components, and other hydrocarbons.
