Inbound tourism arrivals | Iraq – yearly data, chart and table

The inbound tourism arrivals to Iraq in 2013 amounted to 892 000, which is 19.71% less than in 2012, when it was  1 111 000 arrivals. It has been falling in this country for already 3 years in a row. Over the entire period of data from the UNWTO since 1995, this indicator has increased in 14.62 times. The lowest annual international tourist flow was recorded in 1997, when it was 15 000 arrivals. The highest value was in 2010, when the inbound tourism arrivals to Iraq reached 1 518 000.
These values come from a new data collection process using a single questionnaire. Since the new processing system is still being phased in, some data points may not completely reflect the final standards yet.
