Solar energy consumption | Iraq

The solar energy consumption in Iraq in 2024 reached 0.001359 EJ, which is 0.274% more than in 2023, when consumption volume was  0.001356 EJ. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 2013, the consumption volume of solar primary energy has increased in 8.16 times. The lowest level of consumption in Iraq was recorded in 2013, with a value of 0.000167 EJ. The maximum energy consumption from solar power plants was in 2024, when it reached 0.001359 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
