Number of diabetic patients | Italy – yearly data, chart and table

Number of people with diabetes in 20-79 years age group in Italy in 2024 amounted to 5 018 400, which is 12.26% more than in 2021, when it was  4 470 300 people. Since 2011, for the whole period of International Diabetes Federation statistics, the diabetic population in Italy has increased in 1.41 times. The minimum number of adults aged 20–79 living with diabetes was recorded in 2011, with a value of 3 560 400.
