Outbound tourism departures | Italy – yearly data, chart and table

The outbound tourism departures from Italy in 2022 amounted to 46 695 000, which is 165.49% more than in 2021, when it was  17 588 000 departures. This is the first year of growth after a decline. Over the entire period of data from the UNWTO since 1996, this indicator has increased in 2.57 times. The lowest number of international tourists was recorded in 2021, when it was 17 588 000 departures. The highest value was in 2019, when the outbound tourism departures from Italy reached 62 207 000.
