Overview
The coal energy consumption in Italy in 2024 reached 0.1006 EJ, which is 47.88% less than in 2023, when consumption volume was 0.1930 EJ. It has been falling in this country for already 2 years in a row. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1965, the consumption volume of coal primary energy has decreased in 3.59 times. The lowest level of consumption in Italy was recorded in 2024, with a value of 0.1006 EJ. The maximum energy consumption from coal was in 2006, when it reached 0.6981 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
