Overview
The geothermal and biomass energy consumption in Italy in 2024 reached 0.354033 EJ, which is 6.75% less than in 2023, when consumption volume was 0.379657 EJ. It has been falling in this country for already 5 years in a row. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1965, the consumption volume of geothermal and biomass primary energy has increased in 3.77 times. The lowest level of consumption in Italy was recorded in 1965, with a value of 0.093827 EJ. The maximum level was in 2016, when it reached 0.439211 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
