Wind energy consumption | Italy – yearly data, chart and table

The wind energy consumption in Italy in 2024 reached 0.080351 EJ, which is 5.59% less than in 2023, when consumption volume was  0.085106 EJ. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1989, the consumption volume of wind primary energy has increased in 11 159.80 times. The lowest level of consumption in Italy was recorded in 1992, with a value of 0.000007 EJ. The maximum energy consumption from wind power plants was in 2023, when it reached 0.085106 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
