The agriculture, forestry, and fishing value added of Jamaica in 2024 amounted to 9.80% of GDP. In 2023, the value was  9.02%. According to the World Bank data, since 1993, this indicator has increased in 1.28 times.  The lowest agriculture share of GDP was recorded in 2007, with a value of 4.62%. The maximum agriculture value added share in Jamaica was in 2024, when it reached 9.80% of GDP.
Agriculture, forestry, and fishing corresponds to ISIC (Rev. 4) divisions 01-03 and includes the exploitation of vegetal and animal natural resources, comprising the activities of growing of crops, raising and breeding of animals, harvesting of timber and other plants, animals or animal products from a farm or their natural habitats.Value added is the contribution to the economy by a producer or an industry or an institutional sector, which is estimated by the total value of output produced and deducting the total value of intermediate consumption of goods and services used to produce that output.

Agriculture, forestry, and fishing corresponds to ISIC divisions 1-3 and includes forestry, hunting, and fishing, as well as cultivation of crops and livestock production. Value added is the net output of a sector after adding up all outputs and subtracting intermediate inputs. It is calculated without making deductions for depreciation of fabricated assets or depletion and degradation of natural resources. The origin of value added is determined by the International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC), revision 4.
