The proved natural gas reserves of Kazakhstan in 2021 reached 2 407 billion m³, which is It is exactly the same as in 2020, when it was also 2 407 billion cubic metres. . According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) data and BP Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1997, the  proved reserves of natural gas has increased in 1.31 times. The minimum of Kazakhstan was recorded in 2006, with a value of 1 841 billion cubic metres. The maximum proved gas reserves was  in 2008, when it reached 2 832 billion m³.
