Employment in services | Saint Lucia – yearly data, chart and table

The employment in services sector of the economy of Saint Lucia in 2023 amounted to 72.59 % of total employed. In 2022, the value was  72.66%. It has been falling in this country for already 3 years in a row. Over the entire period of ILOSTAT data since 1991, this indicator has increased in 1.39 times. The lowest percent of employees in services activities was recorded in 1994, when it was 51.05. The maximum was in 2020, when employment in services share in Saint Lucia reached 79.40 % of total employment. Employment is defined as persons of working age who were engaged in any activity to produce goods or provide services for pay or profit, whether at work during the reference period or not at work due to temporary absence from a job, or to working-time arrangement.
