The Corruption perception index in Lithuania in 2024 was 63 points. In 2023, the index value was  61. This is the first year of growth after a decline. The lower the index, the higher the level of corruption: zero is highly corrupt and 100 is very clean. Since 2001, over the entire period of Transparency International data, this indicator has increased in 1.31 times. The highest level of corruption in Lithuania was recorded in 2008, with a value of 46. The lowest corruption was observed in 2024 (score 63). The CPI ranks 180 countries and territories according to the levels of public-sector corruption perceived by experts and businesspeople. It relies on 13 independent data sources.

Transparency International(TI) defines corruption as the abuse of entrusted power for private gain. This definition encompasses corrupt practices in both the public and private sectors. The Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) ranks countries according to the perception of corruption in the public sector. The CPI is an aggregate indicator that combines different sources of information about corruption, making it possible to compare countries. The CPI ranks almost 200 countries by their perceived levels of corruption, as determined by expert assessments and opinion surveys.
