Overview
The coal energy consumption in Lithuania in 2024 reached 0.0040 EJ, which is 18.5% less than in 2023, when consumption volume was 0.0050 EJ. It has been falling in this country for already 3 years in a row. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1985, the consumption volume of coal primary energy has decreased in 8.42 times. The lowest level of consumption in Lithuania was recorded in 2001, with a value of 0.0035 EJ. The maximum energy consumption from coal was in 1986, when it reached 0.0396 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
