Overview
Cereal crop production of Morocco in 2023 amounted to 5 674 771 tonnes, which is 61.69% more than in 2022, when it was 3 509 673 tonnes. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the FAOSTAT data, since 1961, the volume of annual ceral production has increased in 3.69 times. The minimum production of grains was recorded in 1961, with a value of 1 537 830 tonnes. The maximum of Morocco was in 2015, when it reached 11 687 921 metric tons. Area and production data on cereals relate to crops harvested for dry grain only. Cereal crops harvested for hay or harvested green for food, feed or silage or used for grazing are therefore excluded.
