The employment in agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing in the economy of Morocco in 2023 amounted to 29.59 % of total employed. In 2022, the value was 30.75%. It has been falling in this country for already 19 years in a row. Over the entire period of ILOSTAT data since 1991, this indicator has decreased in 1.45 times. The lowest percent of employees in agricultural activities was recorded in 2023, when it was 29.59. The maximum was in 2004, when agri-sector employment share in Morocco reached 45.83 % of total employment. Employment is defined as persons of working age who were engaged in any activity to produce goods or provide services for pay or profit, whether at work during the reference period or not at work due to temporary absence from a job, or to working-time arrangement.
