Overview
The gas energy consumption in Morocco in 2024 reached 0.0325 EJ, which is 1.59% more than in 2023, when consumption volume was  0.0320 EJ. It has been growing in this country for already 2 years in a row. According to the Statistical Review of World Energy, since 1965, the consumption volume of gas primary energy has increased in 17.53 times. The lowest level of consumption in Morocco was recorded in 1995, with a value of 0.0005 EJ. The maximum energy consumption from gas was in 2012, when it reached 0.0450 EJ. The Statistical Review of World Energy is published annually in the last decade of June by the Energy Institute (EI). From 1952 to 2022, this dataset on global energy production, consumption, and emissions was published by BP.
