Air transport registered carrier departures | Myanmar – yearly data, chart and table

Number of civil aircraft departures in Myanmar in 2021 amounted to 20 653, which is 32.08% less than in 2020, when it was  30 408. It has been falling in this country for already 3 years in a row. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1970, this indicator has decreased in 1.05 times. The lowest number of air transport departures was recorded in 2001, with a value of 9 709. The maximum in Myanmar was in 2016, when it reached 65 643 departures.
The air transport data represent the total (international and domestic) scheduled traffic carried by the air carriers registered in a country. For statistical uses, departures are equal to the number of landings made or flight stages flown. A flight stage is the operation of an aircraft from take-off to its next landing. A flight stage is classified as either international or domestic. International flight stage is one or both terminals in the territory of a State, other than the State in which the air carrier has its principal place of business.
