Inbound tourism arrivals | Myanmar – yearly data, chart and table

The inbound tourism arrivals to Myanmar in 2024 amounted to 1 063 000, which is 17.28% less than in 2023, when it was  1 285 000 arrivals. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. Over the entire period of data from the UNWTO since 1995, this indicator has increased in 5.48 times. The lowest annual international tourist flow was recorded in 2021, when it was 131 000 arrivals. The highest value was in 2015, when the inbound tourism arrivals to Myanmar reached 4 681 000.
These values come from a new data collection process using a single questionnaire. Since the new processing system is still being phased in, some data points may not completely reflect the final standards yet.
