Proportion of women in ministerial level positions | Malawi – yearly data, chart and table

Proportion of women in ministerial level positions of Malawi in 2024 amounted to 33.33 % of the total. In 2023, the value was  38.10%. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. Over the entire period of Inter-Parliamentary Union statistics since 2005, this indicator has increased in 2.33 times. The lowest share of woman in ministerial positions was recorded in 2015, when it was 11.10. The maximum was in 2023, when number of female ministers in Malawi reached 38.10 %.
