This is the first year of growth after a decline. Over the entire period of data from the UNWTO since 1995, this indicator has increased in 7.57 times. The lowest annual international outbound tourism expenditure recorded in 2005, when it was 501.00 million USD. The maximum value was in 2019, when the expenditure of outbound tourists from Nigeria reached 16 406.00 million USD.
These values come from a new data collection process using a single questionnaire. Since the new processing system is still being phased in, some data points may not completely reflect the final standards yet.
