Overview
The crude oil production in Nicaragua in 2024 reached 201 barrels per day, which is 0.5% more than in 2023, when production volume was 200 b/d. This is the first year of growth after a decline. According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), since 1980, the annual production volume of oil (crude oil, NGPL, and other liquids) has not changed. The minimum of Nicaragua was recorded in 2017, with a value of 0 barrels daily. The maximum crude oil poduction was in 2009, when it reached 1 000 b/d.

Petroleum supply includes the production of crude oil (including lease condensate), natural gas plant liquids, and other liquids, and it also includes refinery processing gain for volume (TBPD) only.
Other Liquids includes biodiesel, ethanol, liquids produced from coal, gas, and oil shale, Orimulsion, blending components, and other hydrocarbons.
