The outbound tourism departures from Nicaragua in 2022 amounted to 699 000, which is 87.9% more than in 2021, when it was 372 000 departures. It has been growing in this country for already 2 years in a row. Over the entire period of data from the UNWTO since 1995, this indicator has increased in 2.74 times. The lowest annual international tourist flow was recorded in 1995, when it was 255 000 departures. The highest value was in 2013, when the outbound tourism departures from Nicaragua reached 994 000.
These values come from a new data collection process using a single questionnaire. Since the new processing system is still being phased in, some data points may not completely reflect the final standards yet.
