Overview

Морской грузовой контейнерный трафик | Норвегия
The container port throughput in Norway in 2023 amounted to 882 560 TEU, which is 5.44% less than in 2022, when it was  933 300 twenty-foot equivalent units. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. According to the UNCTAD statistics, since 2010, this indicator has increased in 1.39 times. The lowest container port throughput was recorded in 2010, with a value of 636 086 TEU. The maximum container throughput of ports of Norway was in 2022, when it reached 933 300 TEU.
The data includes container port throughput for ports with time series that are complete since 2010 or that can be made complete by repeating an observation for a maximum of three years after the original observation. This means that country level time series are comparable over time but that the coverage of ports may differ between countries.
Additional infomation: About indicator
This table presents the estimated total number of containers handled, per country, expressed in twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs). A TEU represents the volume of a standard 20 feet long intermodal container used for loading, unloading, repositioning and transshipment. A 40-foot intermodal container is counted as two TEUs. Data published are country totals which may conceal the fact that some minor ports are not included.
