Passenger transportation by air | Nepal – yearly data, chart and table

Number of passengers carried by air transport in Nepal in 2021 amounted to 2 550 505, which is 28.21% more than in 2020, when it was  1 989 284 passengers. It has been growing in this country for already 2 years in a row. According to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) statistics, since 1970, the volume of air transport passengers has increased in 12.54 times. The lowest number was recorded in 1970, with a value of 203 400 passengers. The maximum passengers by air transport in Nepal was in 2018, when it reached 4 525 805 passengers. Air passengers carried include both domestic and international aircraft passengers of air carriers registered in the country.
