Prevalence of underweight among adults | Oman – yearly data, chart and table

Proportion of underweight people (BMI less than 18.5 kg/m²) in Oman in 2022 amounted to 5.07% of the adult population (18 years and over). In 2021, the value was  5.08%. This is the first year of decline after a period of growth. Since 1990, for the whole period of WHO statistics, the prevalence of underweight among adults in Oman has decreased in 1.55 times. The highest number of  underweight people was in 1990, when it reached 7.85%. The minimum was recorded in 2022, with a value of 5.07% of total adult population of Oman.
